Reviews
Really enjoyed our brunch. Really unique flavors and unlike any Mexican I’d ever had before. Every dish was different and I loved how they brought them one by one so we could savor each separately. The service was exceptional - very attentive but not intrusive. Also the waitress made sure to point out that tip was already included (which I love).
I’ve walked by this restaurant a handful of times but actually never dined in until tonight. This menu is very unique.
The presentations are fantastic. I tried the corn dumplings with short rib which def was my favorite!
The pan roasted cauliflower was grilled to perfection and the sauce was exceptional.
The Wagyu sope was great. Not a huge portion. My friend and I shared these dishes plus the guacamole and we were so happy we cant wait to come back and try more. Special thank you to Antonio he was fabulous and helped us chose!
Honest Review:
After 4 visits, it’s gotten worse every time. Restaurant didn’t make any changes, still offers the same bad dessert, and won’t add additional tacos to the menu. The tortillas are dry and crumbling, the chips are small and greasy. Even the good dishes have gone down hill. Would not go back.

Absolutely doesn’t deserve a Michelin star, that’s not me being critical, it just simply isn’t a Michelin star level restaurant. The guide in Miami has lowered their standards. The prices, I have a major issue with. $55 for corn dumplings, $65 for a wagyu sopa. It’s just too much.
Now for the positives. The guacamole was vibrant and seasoned well. The Al Pastor Tacos all though way too expensive were delicious. They fry their chips in beef tallow instead of seed oils which is a major difference and provides for a unique taste. The desserts were bad. For $16 it’s like the chef has no knowledge in dessert making.
The Carnitas were perfect. Delicious, fair prices for the amount of food you get. But if the waiter doesn’t explain to mix it all together, it would eat very dry.
I would absolutely come back, but just for the basics. Tacos, carnitas, guac. All their fancy expensive dishes missed the mark.
The kitchen should stick to this concept, use these fine heirloom corn and ingredients and make affordable basics, because that’s where you succeed. Do a low priced corn soft serve ice cream for dessert. Keep it fresh and fun. You are welcome.
Had a wonderful experience here with my husband for our anniversary! Our waiter Izy was very personable, sharing the history and culture with us and suggesting great options. The chips cooked in beef tallow set the mood for the tasty experience we would have. The hazelnut mole with the tamal was one of my favorite parts of the meal. Followed by the corn Dumplings, which was all around amazing in flavor.
Thank you for a memorable night ♥️
A MUST if you’re looking for some delicious food while in Coconut Grove. We went here one night and were quickly seated outside. While it was quite busy, our server took the time to explain the menu, provide recs and also just connect with us which was very nice. He was super knowledgeable when it came to all things corn and the thoughtfully sourced ingredients at the restaurant. We got the fish of the day prepared with some kind of mole and it was beyond incredible. We were blown away. The salsas they provided were also so amazing we had to order more.
The tortilla chips are prepared in beef tallow instead of inflammatory seed oils which I found to be so awesome and thoughtful. Couldn’t recommend this spot enough. The vibe is also top tier. So cozy.
I walked in not knowing it had a Michelin star, and wouldn’t have known throughout the meal either. Although a fun and good restaurant, I do believe it’s a bit overpriced and overhyped.
Don’t get me wrong, the food is good. The service as well. But it’s just that - an overall “good” experience .
I love that the whole premise is based on corn: where they purchase, and how they cook it. The tortillas and chips are probably the best I’ve ever had.
Must try’s:
* Chips and Guacamole. Ask for the three salsas on the side.
* Al Pastor Tacos
* Fish of the Day (wrapped in banana leaves and served with tortillas)
* Corn Dumplings
* Their house Margaritas
Again, good experience. You won’t leave disappointed… just expected a bit more.
This restaurant is situated in the heart of a vibrant area. The restaurant has limited indoor and outdoor seating, so be sure to make a reservation. The reservations aren’t specific to indoor or outdoor dining, keep this in mind when selecting your dining time. We had a 6:30pm reservation and were to be seated outside, but on a hot summer day with the sun starting to set, we didn’t want to be outside. Luckily there were two seats available at the bar. We enjoyed watching the barkeep at his craft-he also managed to wait on us and another party of two sitting at the bar. He is a delightful person, conversational and extremely knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients. While initially we weren’t delighted with the idea of sitting at the bar- he quickly changed our thoughts. In the future when visit we will request to have our reservation for the bar seats!
The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering shared starters and main courses that will appeal to youngsters and adults alike. We sampled quite of few of the menu offerings. My favorite was the pork carnitas.
Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. The award-winning chefs use the best quality ingredients to produce dishes that are simply delightful. The restaurant also offers a wonderful drink menu, though I didn’t partake, every drink I watched being made looked delicious.
The service was of the highest quality. Though he was busy crating delicious cocktails for the entire restaurant, he still managed to be very engaged with us. You can tell he loves his profession.
Everyone that brought a dish to our table throughly explained the dish and ingredients. The manager seemed very warm and thoughtful. He came around to check on our experience and seemed to be authentically engaged.
I look forward to my next visit to Coconut Grove and to Los Felix.
UPDATE-Visited again-this time for Sunday brunch. Loved every dish-photos included from the brunch.
I don’t have enough words to describe how good is this place! 👏🏻 Each plate it was something special and very unique.From the best totopos until dessert, every flavor was a great experience for the palate. My favorites was the esquites, carnitas pork, but the seasonal granita dessert really hit the ball! 🧁 🔥
Service ✅ The attention it was FANTASTIC, Parker really makes us feel that we had a private party for my bf birthday.
💰 Is not cheap but you won’t regret after you taste their food.
🅿️ We always park in Cocowalk and walk there since it’s so hard to find parking in the street.
